Even pre-pandemic I had been conducting successful online therapy and counseling sessions through Google Hangouts since it’s creation but now use Zoom, and I must say this method is fantastic. Now I have clients who live some distance from my office in Culver City who will sometimes opt for an online session just to skip the drive time and the traffic.

Online therapy offers more flexibility in scheduling (especially if you’re traveling). If needed, it makes it possible for family members who live far away to be included in a session, and it’s like we’re in the same room.

Advantages of telehealth or teletherapy:
  • We can continue our work when you’re out of town or can’t make it to my office.
  • It’s easier to schedule a time to have an online therapy session because we don’t have to factor in travel time.
  • Studies show that your state of mind AND your location both reinforce your learning.
  • Instead of getting insight in my office and then trying to take it home with you, you’re already there.
